Will Facebook's Beacon fiasco lead to long-term damage?

Is Facebook even worth what Microsoft thought it was when invested 200 million a month ago? Poor Zuckerberg....

Facebook is still struggling to generate profit. And we learned Beacon isn't the silver bullet. What I was thrilled to learn from the beacon "fiasco" is that Facebook is finally listening to its users.

In any case, the recent set back certainly damages their valuation. They'll need to continue pushing the envelope with new features until one sticks and generates money. Its going to happen. They have some of the best talent in the industry working there.

Not long-term. The have incredible talent and will come up with another amazing idea. Short-term yes. They are taking a PR hit, but does it really matter? No, everyone is lining up to invest in the company. Users are still better off at facebook than they are at myspace.

No harm done. More like a delay.
