In essence goods and services need to be designed and organized to go back to soil or into perpetual technical cycles SAFELY at the end of their useful designed life. Hence Cradle to Cradle as opposed to our current linear cradle to grave system.

You can find out more at: http://mbdc.com.

This is the web site of William McDonough's consulting firm which helps companies implent Cradle to Cradle(SM) design. You can also buy the book "Cradle to Cradle - Remaking the Way We Make Things."

There is an online Cradle to Cradle community at http://community.mbdc.com and there is also a Cradle to Cradle(SM) product certification program. Details at: http://c2ccertified.com

  1. bahellman: Thanks Ken. Any idea what the industry adoption rate is for Cradle to Cradle. Or perhaps the growth or estimated growth rate for the philosophy? It must be a fantastic feeling to work for such a consulting firm.
