Is there such a thing as a degree in Actuarial Science - I'd need to obtain on-line unless you know of an offering on campus in Little Rock, AR area?

I'm trying to understand what the class line-up would be and what the learning emphasis is for a career as an actuary. What is the job outlook for this field over the next 10 years?

Many universities have undergraduate and graduate degree programs in actuarial science. In 2002, a Wall Street Journal survey on the best jobs in the United States listed “actuary” as the second best job.

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, annual starting salaries for graduates with a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science averaged $53,754 in 2007.
