Not to my knowledge. That's a new one to me. (spell check next time ok?)

For those who may not know What Flexible Leadership is:

As a quality primer for the major elements of leadership, Gary Yukl and Richard Lepsinger have developed a model for understanding and guiding action in complex organizations. Flexible Leadership looks at ways to thoughtfully combine adaptability and effectiveness in the leadership role.

Leadership behaviors to enhance HR include supporting people by showing concern and consideration, especially when employees' personal problems affect performance. Business benefits from supportive management. For example, a manager at a cleaning firm watched turnover drop from 100 percent to 12 percent when he began helping his mostly immigrant workforce with language classes, immigration issues and training.

Flexible Leadership also shows how:

* Leaders can enhance efficiency through systematic planning that involves different levels of the organization; clarifying roles and guidelines; and monitoring operations and performance. The book also looks at efficiency impacts of programs such as total quality management, Six Sigma, downsizing and outsourcing.

* Leaders can influence innovation and adaptive ability if they make them part of the company culture, rather than reacting suddenly to dramatic market changes.
