i put a deposit on a piece of property in virginia in check form and the seller cashed the check in the memo i put deposit on property
the seller was going to draw up a sales agreement but never did so i told the seller i would try to close on 1-25-08 some issues came up with finances and i called and told them i would have to make closing 2-15-08 the seller said no they were not waiting til then they are selling to another party for more money can they just sell to someone else keep in mind all i have done up to now is give a deposit and thats it no sales agreement or anything in writing other than the check as a doposit
