Are there any legal issues that you are concerned about in particular? Intellectual property perhaps? You will want to file for a patent if you are using any kind of new material that you developed. Or perhaps you are looking for legal advice surrounding a loan?

Items that can be patented: Process, Machine, Article of manufacture, Composition of matter, or an improvement of any of the above items. Most patents are for incremental improvements in known technology; the innovation is evolution rather than revolution. (From Mary Bellis)

If your drinking cup has a brand you will want to file a trademark before the product is introduced into the market.
