I can't afford an attorney and want to represent myself in court to sue landlord for personal property destryoued.. How do I write up my complaint?

Building has had numerous leaks, broken pipes, etc. One of the last leaks destroyed our 51 inch Sony TV, computer, wireless router, towels (used to clean up the water damage), clothes and a flokati rug.

How do I explain all of this in a clear concise manner so the courts will understand my plight?

depending on what state you are in you, you can file a small claims action. In California you are limited to a claim of $5000. The court has "fill in the blank" forms so it's easy to complete and file. Good luck!
