What is the best way to improve my Quality Score on a Google Adwords campaign?

  1. bahellman: For those who don't know what a Quality Score is, according to Google, and I quote: Is a dynamic metric assigned to each of your keywords. It's calculated using a variety of factors and measures how relevant your keyword is to your ad group and to a user's search query. The higher a keyword's Quality Score, the lower its minimum bid and the better its ad position.

1. Avoid Dynamic Keyword Insertion (DKI) with larger keyword dumps
2. Put keywords in ad copy, Google encourages this
3. Put keywords on landing pages - This is very important and will likely set your quality above others
4. Create separate landing pages per ad group

Several factors relate to your Quality Score, some of these include:

CTR on Google.com, Ad copy, Landing pages, etc... You need to be as relevant as possible in everything google sees.

For your ads: Does the ad copy contain the keyword? If not, you aren't being as relevant as you could.

Does the ad's landing page contain unique content?
