Does Google own Facebook?

To my knowledge, Google has no ownership in the privately held company Facebook. Facebook has the following major investors, Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-Shing, Microsft, and several venture capital investors.

Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-Shing has invested $120 million in Facebook worth 0.8% of the company.

Microsoft invested $240 million on a 1.6% stake.

Venture capital investors have put around $40.7 million into Facebook since 2004. Investors include PayPal co-founder and former chief executive Peter Thiel, Accel Partners, Greylock Partners and Meritech Capital Partners.
